The festival season has well and truly kicked off and with one of London’s most popular festivals starting today (ending Sunday), we’re seeing a lot of excitement on the blogosphere. The music looks amazing, the atmosphere will be incredible, and the fashion as always, will be iconic. So we thought we’d round up some inspiration for your festival must-haves.

There’s going to be some of the hottest artists wearing their very best this weekend performing in London’s Hyde Park for the Wireless Festival. It’s only normal we want to look stylish too, but unfortunately, British weather is as unpredictable as it comes so whilst we want to be fashionable, we’ve got to also be functional. Guess that means flip flops are out the window! Remember when everyone was wearing foam ballet buns in their hair giving them a perfect, pretty, girly coif? Well slick ballet buns are yesterday’s news and now the top knot reigns supreme. Making their way from the catwalk and being copied by celebs, top knots are versatile, edgy and our favourite look of the moment. Hair trends come and go, but we hope this one never leaves as it’s perfect for your inner-slacker and has become a staple hair-do that we can’t live without.


We love the different versions of the top knot seen at Jenni Kayne, Phillip Lim, Louis Vuitton and Mary Katrantzou’s  catwalk shows. Jenni sent models down the runway with her version of the trend, an edgy, almost rocky look that set off the feminine floaty designs from her SS/AW12 collection. It’s easy to achieve so get backcombing your ponytail and pin the length in place in a messy bun shape. The texture in the bun is the perfect contrast to the smooth pulled back hair.
