This delicious celebration of everyone’s favourite summer treat showcases the best ice creams available in London and the South East alongside the story of how the creamy stuff first came to London.  Get involved with everything from milking a cow to helping make ice cream using the latest technical wizardry. Plus, be amazed by ice cream art, enter exciting competitions and eat ice cream all day. What’s not to love?

Dazzle: Bridge Illumination

If you’re out and about in central London tonight, head over to the Thames. From 9.30pm until 5am, seven of London’s most famous bridges between Hungerford Bridge and Tower Bridge will be lit up in a dazzling display of colour in tribute to London’s historic summer. Cabaret Mechanical Theatre

Put away your digital devices for a couple of hours and enjoy the wit, intelligence and pure pleasure of the Cabaret Mechanical Theatre. The charmingly quirky, contemporary automata lived in Covent Garden between 1985 and 2000. Now you can see them in a free touring exhibition hosted by Space Station Sixty-Five in East Dulwich until 7^th September. Go along and press the buttons to bring these ingenious machines to life, including Ron Fuller’s tiny mechanical circus and Paul Spooner’s man in a bath of spaghetti. This is one of those magical experiences you’ll never forget!

Wedding Fairs around the UK

If you’re planning your dream day and looking for inspiration, there are lots of wedding shows taking place all over Britain today. For starters, there’s a Wedding Fayre with a Vintage Twist in Goldney Hall, Clifton Bristol and another vintage-themed event at the Adelphi Hotel in Liverpool.
