Designing 007: Fifty years of Bond style

It’s a glamorous showcase of more than 400 famous costumes and cult items, revealing the inside story of the design and style of the world’s most influential and iconic movie brand. Highlights include Ursula Andress’s white bikini from the very first Bond film – Dr No (1962), Halle Barry’s orange two-piece from Die Another Day (2002), Bond’s 1964 Aston Martin DB5, gadgets, special effects and lots more.  Oh, and you can sip Bond-style cocktails in the Martini Bar and experience the 007 lifestyle, shaken or stirredl!

Talking of icons, David Bailey – one of the East End’s most famous sons and reputedly, the best photographer of his generation – has a brilliant new exhibition of his pictures at London’s Royal Docks. Over the past 50 years, he’s regularly returned to photograph the stomping grounds of his youth. With the Olympics approaching and the world’s focus on east London, these fascinating photos from his personal collection document the changing streetscapes, characters and scenes of east London life from the early 1960s to the present day.
