Into the Tropic – Hawaiian and Tropical prints
When we heard topical Hawaiian prints were big news for SS12, we got very excited. They scream holiday and sunny weather and we had high hopes for a gorgeous British summer. Unfortunately, we’ve not really had the best in terms of sunshine, but that’s not getting us down because these prints are still bang on trend.

The Hawaiian print shirt is famed for it’s dressed down, casual look but the trend got a rigid up-date for SS with tailoring and sleek silhouettes. Designers including Altuzarra, Proenza and Stella McCartney (to name but a few) all sent models down the SS12 catwalks with these fab prints. The high street was quick to catch up and we’re pleased to get a taste of island life the savvy way. You can shop this look in our Fever sale today and get up to 70% off.

The prints are bold, the colours exotic, but we assure you they’re easy to wear. Simply pair the powerful prints with simple minimal accompaniments for a chic and modern take on the trend. Our top sun-drenched prints? Birds of paradise, orchids and palm trees and of course blue skies and beaches. The more vibrant, the better so don’t be frightened to get involved with floral motifs and surf-inspired silhouettes.

So if this easy, breezy trend has you in the mood for a beach getaway, jump on the bandwagon. The skies may not be telling us it’s summers, but our clothes sure as hell will!
