The festival season has well and truly kicked off and with one of London’s most popular festivals starting today (ending Sunday), we’re seeing a lot of excitement on the blogosphere. The music looks amazing, the atmosphere will be incredible, and the fashion as always, will be iconic. So we thought we’d round up some inspiration for your festival must-haves.

There’s going to be some of the hottest artists wearing their very best this weekend performing in London’s Hyde Park for the Wireless Festival. It’s only normal we want to look stylish too, but unfortunately, British weather is as unpredictable as it comes so whilst we want to be fashionable, we’ve got to also be functional. Guess that means flip flops are out the window! As Pappzd blog says, festivals are great for showing off a mixture of eclectic looks so there is no real dress code.  We’re sticking to their rule of being comfortable and effortlessly chic, and love some of their ideas for festival fashion, especially spicing up an outfit with some gorgeous nails!

Six influential bloggers were invited to The Outnet’s London offices this week and Ella from Cocoas Tea Party wrote a fab blog on the events with lots of pics showing what the bloggers picked as their top festival looks. Choosing a pair of leather See by Chloé shorts and a printed Thakoon top, Ella looked cool and chic, exactly what you need at a festival. We’d suggest Ella topped of the look with a good parka to put all her essentials in and not lose any style cred.

Fashion isn’t much different over the pond. We spotted on One Outfit At A Time’s blog a plethora of great street style snaps from festivals. If we had the weather, we’d be wearing our designer wedges too, but we don’t want to ruin them in all the mud we see at the UK’s festivals!

And if you’re like us, you’ll love checklists and organisation so you don’t fall short once you’re there. That’s why we loved Chanelene from Summer Flounce’s blog giving a simple list we had to share with you:
•     Extra loo roll: because the port-a-loos always run out
•     Hand sanitizer: not just for clean freaks – by day three you will be glad you chucked it in
•     Plastic bags: keep your possessions dry no matter what the conditions
•     Face-wipes: because last night’s makeup, face-paint or drawn-on moustache never looks quite so good the next morning
If you’re heading to any festival this weekend, have fun and look fantastic. Remember to bring extras (tissues, socks and layers are our essentials) as you don’t want to end up resenting the weather or the loos (that’s always the worst bit!). If you have any other tips, put them in the comments box below as we’d love to hear from you.
