The witching hour cometh…

So, you’ve got the outfit sorted, the make-up planning was a breeze, and you’ve even decided who you’ll be spending the scariest evening of the year with. But the chances are you’ve forgotten ten little party-goers who are itching to join in the fun…

...It’s time for a Halloween manicure!

The Frankenstein manicure is the cutest way to spookify your nails this year: it looks effective, makes people giggle and is super-easy to achieve with just a few tools.

You will need…

1. A green nail polish (the murkier the better!)

2. A white nail polish

3. A permanent black marker pen/fine-liner

4. A top coat

Starting with the green polish, apply a solid coat of colour upon which you’ll show off your design. Depending on the opacity of your chosen shade, you may need to do two coats but be sure to allow a good 15/20 minutes before continuing to allow the surface to dry completely.

Using the black fine-liner pen, draw a series of haphazard scars across alternate nails before colouring in the leftover tips with Frankie’s iconic hairline.

Apply two blobs of white nail polish for the eyes before again, allowing enough drying time to avoid smudging.  You don’t want to mess it up now!

Grab the black pen once more and draw some pupils before finishing your masterpiece with a wonky monster-mouth to ensure smiles all round!

Let the completed manicure dry for another 15 minutes before sealing it with a generous layer of top coat.  This will ensure the permanent marker remains in place until you’re ready to get the nail  polish remover out.

Have fun recreating this monster-manicure and don’t forget to wiggle your fingers as well as your booty on the dance-floor.  You never know, you might even attract old Frankie a bride!
