RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2010: We’ve won a Silver Gilt Medal

Blog Home >

Yesterday was Medal Day at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2010.  And we’re delighted to announce that the BrandAlley Naturally Fashionable Garden was awarded a fabulous Silver-Gilt Medal.

Melissa and Kristina were there at the showground, caught up in all the excitement.

Melissa said, “I’m absolutely thrilled that we’ve won this medal at the world’s foremost gardening event. Nick Dexter is a star and so is the entire team involved in turning our dream into reality. I’m so very proud of everyone’s hard work.  It’s such an amazing achievement.”

Yesterday was also the first RHS Members Day at Chelsea, so all day long there was a constant flow of enthusiastic visitors admiring our garden.

Melissa explained, “It was lovely chatting to folk!  Everyone wanted to know about our planting scheme to see if they could recreate a little bit of our chic, urban garden back at home in their own green spaces.”

We’d printed loads of leaflets about the design etc, but we ran out of them really quickly.  So, we had a bit of a mad panic getting more from the office.  Of course, we’d forgotten that it was the State Opening of Parliament, so the roads in the centre of town were completely gridlocked.  It took the cab over two hours to get over to Chelsea from Tower Bridge.  What a mare!

Still, it was another hot and sunny day, and everyone had a brilliant, brilliant time.  Oh, and did we mention that we won a Silver-Gilt Medal at the greatest flower show on earth?  Yay!
